These Must Happen: Broadchurch Finale

So there are a few things I'm going to need during the Broadchurch finale (other than a couple stiff drinks):

-Joe convicted. That goes without saying. Or, alternatively, he gets off but meets a mysterious and sticky end. I wouldn't really be sorry (is that terribly wrong of me?).

-Ellie and Alec having some normal human non-grumpy interaction. Come on, it's been two seasons - they've earned it. Maybe a quiet moment while their respective kids play together? That would be lovely.

-Ellie getting the credit for Sandbrook. She has absolutely earned it, and not only has she figured out key parts of the mystery, she's also kept Alec going when he's wanted to give up. She absolutely deserves the credit, and if Tess muscles in on anything I will be livid.

-Beth getting some sort of closure on her relationship with Mark, either way. She's been through hell and she deserves it.

-Alec being able to negotiate some sort of relationship with his daughter. Not getting back together with Tess, but having as much of a family as he can under the circumstances.

-Finally, I'm more than keen for a third season, but please, no huge cliffhangers! Seven weeks of tortuous suspense is enough.

If you're watching it, good luck! and do tweet me your thoughts @24framesblog.
